World Fish Migration Day was May 21 and this is my pre-recorded podcast for it that I played yesterday (Sunday). It was challenging recording the show at home instead of in the studio for a couple of reasons. One reason was because occasionally the washing machine or the dogs ended up in the recording and I’d have to retake it and also putting clips into audacity independently is a little more challenging than recording live. I’m hoping to do more of these for weekends I’m not around. My new digital recorder has helped a lot with this effort.

Anyway, while World Fish Migration Day has passed, I highly encourage you if you’re in the midcoast Maine area to come visit the alewife ladder and come the Spawning Run 5K&10K at Damariscotta Mills on the 28th (in five days!) I would totally go to that event, too, if it weren’t for my trip to see family this week in CA.

Thanks for tuning in!

P.S. I’ll post blog post separately with my TEDx talk! (It’s finally up online!)

Music breaks: The Gammy Bird by Christopher Young, Fishing Song by G. Love and Special Sauce, Run Fish Run by Aaron Nigel Smith & Aya World Productions, Fishing Blues by Mike Seeger.

As always… if you are interested in being on the show as a guest (you can call in, too!) or have suggestions, comments or questions, just email me at strictlyfishwrap [at] gmail [dot] com.
